On CBC Newsworld today the CBC's reporter, Paul Hunter, said "About half the Afghans turned and fled, so there's clearly some work to be done see box at right in link below]." But now he's rather changed the words he uses in print--see bolded bit below. In my weekly web stat reports, I witnessed the first rise in unique hits for Fringe Fantastic last week. It happens every year around this time, both Fringe Fantastic and Poolside Poetry start to tail into an upwards trend, before peaking in August and slowing down as it moves into September. Good news.

Yay! Nokia has just released new firmware upgrades for the Nokia N810 and N800 Internet Tablets that adds a Seamless Software Upgrade Feature. Based on Maemo 4.1 (Diablo), the new OS2008 feature upgrade lets you now perform future OS upgrades over-the-air (WLAN only). A new automatic notification from the home screen will now notify you of new versions of the OS and system apps, including third party applications.
